A name, a memory, a way of seeing the world.

SOMETH is named after my father. He was one of the most quietly gifted people I have ever known — woodworking, painting, sketching, sewing, cooking, building, planting. If it could be made or grown or shaped by hand, he found a way to do it beautifully. Art and photography were part of that list too.

He passed away when I was 19. I carry him with me in the only way I know how — by creating. Every time I pick up a camera or sit down to design something, I feel connected to him. That feeling is what SOMETH is built on.

I was born and raised in Cambodia, and I now call Australia home. I travel whenever I can — not to any particular plan, but to wherever there is something worth seeing. I photograph anything and anywhere I find beauty in: the stillness of nature, a quiet angle of light, a detail most people walk past.

My work spans minimalist photography, abstract design, and pieces rooted in Khmer art and culture — the origin I was raised in and carry with pride. Every photo is taken by me. Every design is made by me.

I started SOMETH officially in 2023 after over a decade of creating quietly for myself. I had my art page since 2011, but there were complications that paused the process. 6 months before I moved to Victoria, a thought came to mind, and I immediately looked into how to bring this back to life.

I hope that when you put one of these pieces on your wall, it brings you what it brings me — a moment of peace.
